It finally happened... My oldest moved out on Friday.. I cried and cried.. and I have been wanting her to move for a bit.. not anything bad, I just wanted her to start to grow up, she and Nathan both, what with the baby coming.
When she came over on Saturday to finish packing, we cried together for about 10 minutes and said she didn't want to go, LOL But now, I feel better, it's a move that is bittersweet.. I'm happy and sad.. I'm glad she is on her way to being an adult, it shouldn't have happened this way, but it's a must at this point..
Yesterday we got the rest of her things out, moved them into her apartment, fixed her bed, washed her dishes, martin got her a stand fan (it was very hot in there, they have to be careful of their a/c bill), put up her table, replaced the toilet seat (the one there was grossing her out even though it was new, well, it looked new), put on their water filter for the sink, got her something to eat.. and told her we needed to go home.. Kissed her, said I love you.. and left, I didn't want to look at her when I left, it was too hard.. lol But of course, they are about 2 miles away, a hot skip and a jump.. lol
When we got home, we CLEANED out her room, took the blind off and cleaned, scrubbed, moped, etc.. the room is nice, dust free and empty and ready for Mara.. we moved her clothes in, but we still need everything.. bed, dresser.. One of Martin's cousins is giving her a small color tv.. but we still need the rest... it will come slowly..
Demaree and Nathan stoppped by last night after they grocery shopped because my mom had bought them some things and dropped them off here, she went into her room (Mara's now) and gasped how clean it was! LOL then she said it looked really big, but it's the smallest bedroom..
She will visit often.. especially when Nathan is working, they don't have cable! LOL
